Hungry Hearts began in October 2017 when we heard of the large number of children in the Sioux Falls School District not receiving a hot lunch when at school due to financial hardships.
Since the, we have held an annual Hungry Hearts fundraiser at The Barrel House, in addition to various food drives and fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for the children of Sioux Falls, SD.
100% of all funds raised are donated to local children in need, including but not limited to: Sioux Falls School District Hot Lunch Program; school supplies, backpacks, & other educational necessities; kids’ winter coats, hats & mittens; surrounding community school districts’ lunch programs.
We are 100% volunteer driven. No funds are spent on salaries or management.
All time & energy is donated by our committee members and volunteers.
